Business Litigation

Disputes occur in the corporate world. That’s just the simple truth. Mergers and acquisitions fall apart, business transactions go awry, contracts are breached, and many other disputes find their way into even the most stable of business environments. When these legal problems strike, I stand ready to mount an aggressive case on my clients’ behalf.

I represent both plaintiffs and defendants in business disputes, and I take their cases to trial whenever necessary. Before I can do that, though, I must first understand the clients’ particular needs.

So, when you come to me for help with a business-related legal concern, you can expect a simple discussion. We’ll talk about your business, your goals, your concerns, and other such matters. Once we’ve established a solid foundation of understanding, I’ll outline the pros and cons of your situation, walk you through next steps, and work to establish the right expectations for your case. In other words, I’ll help you to understand what a win looks like for you specifically.

If you’re wondering whether your legal concern falls within my areas of expertise, please feel free to call and ask. You’ll learn that I have experience in state, federal and appellate courts and that I handle a wide range of business disputes, including those outlined below:

  • Contract disputes
  • Business torts
  • Fraud
  • Bankruptcy/adversary proceedings
  • Insurance coverage
  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Partnership disputes
  • Employment matters

When to Go to Trial

Often, clients want to avoid taking their case to trial, but years of experience have taught me that sometimes trial is actually the best option to reach the most favorable resolution. As we delve into the details of your situation, we’ll determine whether this is the case for you.

Fortunately, I am well-versed in representing clients in court. And, whether or not I believe a case will make it to that point, I always work to prepare for it — just in case. The way I see it, presenting a case in trial is much the same as telling a story to an audience. I take the time to get to know each of my clients so that, if and when the time comes to take their case to trial, I’ll know how to tell their story in a way that gets through to the jury and the judge.

In or out of court, cases can get expensive and time-consuming, and that is often one of the biggest concerns for my clients. That’s why I strive, whenever possible, to present my clients with efficient and economical courses of action throughout our time working together.

Let’s Combine Forces

Speaking as a man who runs his own law firm, I understand the need to protect a small business. I’ll never promise you a perfect outcome. It would be misleading for any attorney to do so. But I can promise my personalized attention and sincerest effort to resolve your case. Put your faith in me, and I’ll put my best foot forward for you.
